NCT Inc. specializes in the innovative and proven welding process known as friction welding or friction forging. NCT is one of only a few full-service friction welding vendors in the world capable of weld development, weld design and qualification, welder design and fabrication, complete in-house machining, procurement and finishing.
Friction welding is cost-effective method of joining highly dissimilar materials and geometries. Widely used in Europe and the Pacific Rim, friction welding is still largely unknown and vastly underutilized in the US, where too few industries utilize its benefits widely, except for aerospace and automotive. Globally, it is a preferred method for applications in a variety of industries: aerospace, automotive, cryogenic, electrical, machinery, medical, mining/drilling, military, tools, and others. Environmentally-friendly friction welding economically accomplishes technically difficult tasks and will give you the advantages in quality and cost margin that you are seeking.
Friction Welding can join many material combinations not weldable
by conventional welding techniques. Estimate the potential joint

This innovative process yields a high quality, full cross section bond of solid state, virgin internal material which is as strong as the parent materials and is inherently porosity free. No expensive fillers, fluxes, shield gasses or atmospheres are required.
NCT has more than twenty-five years experience in the field of friction welding and presently dedicates nine machines to contract welding applications, giving us the versatility to weld part surfaces ranging from 0.25" to 6.25" in diameter and the capacity for prompt delivery to customers in the aerospace, automotive, electrical, mining, military, tools, and others.
In addition to producing more then 750,000 welds annually, we provide full service general machining, having the capacity to purchase and cut material, finish machine(CNC turning/milling), induction/furnace temper/anneal, UT inspect, dye penetrate inspect, and bend/tensile test - all in-house. Operating from its 12,500 square foot facility located in Newington, Connecticut, NCT services clients in the US, Canada, Mexico, and South America. Expert consulting and troubleshooting services are available. (Cage code: 1LUB9, DUNS:118376102)
